The oil

In the Euganean Hills the cultivation of oil has always been constant since pre-Roman times. The extra virgin olive oil produced in the Parco Colli Euganei area (New Oil Festival in Arquà Petrarca, Premio Olio Euganeo in Galzignano Terme) is typically green gold; it is a delicately fine product, obtained by cold pressing in historic mills such as in Valnogaredo, still in operation today, generally packaged unfiltered, after accurate decantation.

The wine

Every year the Wineuganea competition rewards the best wines of the Euganean territory. Today, the production of fine wines of the Euganean Hills has been institutionalized by the Consortium for the protection of the Denomination of Controlled Origin (D.O.C.) “Euganean Hills”, to guarantee the origin, tradition and the quality of the wineries of the territory that you can visit following the path of the “Wine Road of the Euganean Hills”, and admire during the annual Exhibition of Wines Doc Colli Euganei. Many wineries where you can taste and buy local wines.

The montagna ham

The Montagnana Ham, a must of the Veneto Region, is an irresistible mix of sweetness and fragrance: this is the secret of Prosciutto Veneto Berico-Euganeo a Marchio D.O.P., one of the wonders of the city of Montagnana that is still made “all by hand”. Every year the “sweet” raw ham, processed with the methods and attentions of the artisanal tradition, returns to be the protagonist of the famous D.O.P.
